Classified ground, not an assumption.
Glacial till, lake clays, peat, and fill are ordinary in the Twin Cities. The work is to find what is at the site, describe it, and say what that means for the structure. Construction review follows the same record as the borings.
We do the explorations we recommend. The log and the report belong to the same job. Geotechnical installations and monitoring are ordinary support for construction when they are specified.
